I loved Darlene, and was so sad to hear of her passing. We were close friends in Jr. High, especially- she always made me laugh! Both of our fathers had connections in logging, we made denim skirts together out of jeans ( in her bedroom while listening to The Associations!) and she went on a trip with my family to Arizona (at my mom's insistence , because she was so well liked.). I remember that if she was having a bad hair day, she would grab the scissors and cut random, errant pieces of hair off :) May she Rest In Peace, knowing that she was loved.
